Retain Pro’s proprietary formula promotes entry and even distribution of water into the rootzone. Its components then interact with soil molecules to reduce leaching.
All surfactants break the surface tension of water or “make water wetter.” Beyond that property, surfactants are formulated to impart different characteristics to water in relation to its interaction with solids:

Spreading – Ability to break the water’s surface tension for better
coverage. Most effective in spray adjuvants to maximize coverage.

Dispersion, Adhesion – Ability to “hold” water and disperse it
uniformly throughout the soil.
