Foliar : Astron
Specification
Astron is a proprietary blend of secondary and micronutrients
designed for use on intensively managed turfgrass. Astron contains
ascophyllum nodosum and terpenoids derived from natural
fermentation processes.
Specifc benefts include:
-Enhanced Root Systems
-Increased Cell Division
-Stress Tolerance and Recovery
-Respiration Assistance
-Moisture and Nutrient Utilization
Field and university proven over the last 15 years, Astron’s 20+
ingredients are designed to sustain strength, health, and stress
resistance in turfgrass.
BORON – Necessary for cell division, shoot and root growth.
COPPER – Essential to photosynthesis.
IRON – Necessary for chlorophyll formation and nitrogen utilization.
ZINC – Catalyst for plant enzymes, calcium translocation, and reducing
temperature stress.
AMINO ACIDS – Specifc translocation agents.
ANTIOXIDANTS – Required to reduce free radical tissue damage.
ORGANIC EXTRACTS – Key to cell division and root growth.

Professional Use Guidelines
COMPATIBILITY: Astron is tank mix compatible with many nitrogen solutions. Standard jar test when in doubt.
Astron contains a very high solids content, therefore needs to be shaken intensely to insure a homogeneous mixture.
METHODS OF APPLICATION: Apply with any equipment that delivers an even mist to the turf. Astron should be
applied with spray volumes of no more than 350 litres per hectare. Spray volumes over 350 litres per hectare reduce
product effectiveness. Do not water in. Wait at least 3 hours to irrigate.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Applications can be made at any point during the growing season to produce desirable
results. Ideally, applications should begin early in the growing season and continue on a regular 10 to 14 day spray
interval. Scheduled applications in conjunction with proper soil nutrition are effective in producing turf that exhibits
excellent colour without excessive top growth. Apply at the rate of 5 to 10 litres per hectare throughout the growing
season.
