Earl Of Mar Golf Course Opens
The Earl Of Mar Golf Course opened its doors for play on Monday 3rd May. Beautifully situated on the banks of the New Clyde between Erskine Golf Club and the Erskine Bridge.
With spectacular views of the River Clyde and the Kilpatrick Hills beyond, the new 18-hole Earl of Mar championship course at Mar Hall offers a five star golf experience close to Glasgow. It was designed by respected golf course architect, Dave Thomas, who is best known for his work at The Belfry in England, plus San Roque and La Manga in Spain.
Construction started in Spring 2007 – Greentech were appointed to work with Gordon Kerr the Course Manager to install the Rootzone on Greens and the Tee complexes, then prepare them for seeding. The Greens were seeded in May 2008.
