One of the cornerstones of Greentech is that we take great pride in providing top quality playing surfaces. This is echoed in our association with Scotland's Two National Stadiums: The Home Of Scottish Rugby - Murrayfield Stadium & Scotland's Football Stadium - Hampden Park.
Greentech were chosen by the Scottish Rugby Union to design and construct a new pitch for the National Stadium. Works were completed ahead of schedule giving a first class surface for their first game within 11 weeks of sowing the grass seed! Hampden Park was the host of the UEFA Champions League Final in May 2002. Greentech installed new undersoil heating, rootzone and in-pitch pop up irrigation together with 8,000 square metres of matured thick turf in less that 7 days.
In June 2005 we were appointed Design & Build Contractor for a new pitch construction at Aberdeen Football Club. Works commenced on 26th May and the pitch was seeded on 20th June. The germination grass covers were removed some 7 days later and the pitch had its first cut on 1st July! The first game was played on the new pitch 2005-06 season against Kilmarnock in the SPL on 6th Aug 2005.
